Winter 2011- On rush

The whole world seems changing this winter… the men styling became feminine and women start dressing up with military jackets and double breasted coats….. Its winter the season of full dressing so cover yourself and be cozy.

Color :- the old school of dark and grey has shattered and the pallet is full of vibrant playful color. Age and sex is no more a bar so next time anyone says the color is feminine just bash him boy and if anyone tell the color is too young for you just tell her to check fashion trends…. 

Go for yellow violet purple neon and crimson. The party color for this season would be eclectic blue.

Fetish :- This trend has came up unexpectedly… if u have dumped double breasted or military jacket get it out and cleaned because it would be all you would see this season in high streets. In coats ladies go for longer one they are in as well as warmer too. One can find all branded designer labels jumped in. Last year’s mufflers gave the favorite turtle neck a setback in sweaters category but this year you can again see turtle neck up. 

Texture: - With starting of trends this year one saw a lot of mixing between fabrics and prints. This continues … so your silk might be with sequence and your wool with chiffon cut work. You would defiantly find wool mixed with leather or PU quality. Fur are again in but don’t worry if you dislike killing animals a variety of artificial fur are available not and yes you can easily get them in all colors. The most interesting development this season is the 3d additions on garments preferred ones are fake motifs over the garments.

Styling: - The classic elegant 40’s are in this season. So suit up for long coats, leather shrugs fur collars. Miniskirts are completely out so run for longer lengths into heavy fleece for work were or metallic sheen for party. If you are a lover of dresses go for one shoulder with floral print in heavy material and pair it with shrug. Another pick of the season is frills and gathers. There is a lot of layering which can be seen this season.  With cultural advancement of women one can see how designing is gaining a feminine side. Frills gathers and pleats are a say. Even men’s sweaters can be seen with a box pleat or a small gathered area this season. Cropped pants and trousers are also in be it baggy or fitted it should be ankle cropped.

Prints :- Mixed and floral have ruled this season all time. But if you need to be diverse then go for prints on grayscale. Zoological prints would also gain importance in world market this year although in India there might be not much of this to see this season. This season in north you might even see printed fur for fun at expensive designer labels.

Footwear :- In the category of shoes go for pointed one this season. if you are lover of boots with skirt combo keep the length of boots below knees. Going to a party your footwear must have straps combination.

Handbag :- Smaller bags are hot this season. So don’t carry the whole world around with you. The best are clutches in hot colors.

THE SARI

If one word were to describe the unbroken heritage of Indian tradition it would be the sari. From Draupati , the heroine of epic Mahabharata 50000 years ago to bollywood, Hollywood divas of today… all have adored this marvelous one piece of clothing. The beauty of this dress is that a woman can achieve the most respectable as well as the steamy look with this piece of clothing. The way you love to carry it is all that matters. So it just doesn’t matter you are…. experimental or sophisticated, thin or fat, young or old, fair or dusky. This is a dress that would just suit you…… ALWAYS….

Although sari is an example of fashion classic; but yet with forecast coming every year and new styling getting evolved sari has various forms and modifications now. Here are some current running styles…

Colours: - The earthy tones are a say in saris now a days. Go for maroons, mustard, brown shades. Black is another color which is treasured designer pieces. If you are buying double shade for a party check our one with gold or copper sheen, silver is a bit out these days.

Baggy garments are a style statement because they are provided with volume at the making stage but buying oversize garment to make a speech is a fashion error.

·          Flashy belts and heavy accessorized footwear are a say for women’s fashion. But men, they look cheap even if caring a designer tag and after sometime you yourself would feel. Opes what a fashion howler.

·         Floral dresses look beautiful in summers. And if you are wearing it with your smile nothing shines as bright like you.
